You can vote. I did.
You can vote. I did.
Will they or won’t they? That’s the all-consuming question of the moment. Can a CBA be found that can stave off this disaster? Will it kill the league or will anyone even notice?
The players are thinking about striking. They’ve voted themselves either the power to hold a strike or they’ve voted to go ahead and strike, depending on who you believe. In my opinion it would be a bad idea for them to hold the strike cause it won’t work. Let me be clear, I think what they are asking for isn’t unreasonable. They are not getting some basic rights players world wide enjoy. I think they deserve most, if not all, of what they want. But that doesn’t mean a strike will work.
You may have read stories reporting the players voted 350-2 to strike. I’ll tell you why that’s not really true. Let me state right out by that I am not a labor expert nor am I 100% in the know about the current MLS labor situation. But I can still shed some light on this vote.
Steve Hunt has the skinny.
I never know what to think of these things.
According to 3rd Degree sources, FC Dallas has agreed to terms with former Kansas City Wizards and LA Galaxy keeper Kevin Hartman. Terms of the deal are unknown at this time. Kansas City had failed to come to terms with Hartman on a new deal and had made it clear he wasn’t in their plans for this season. FCD’s young Generation adidas keep Josh Lmbo will now be going out on loan for the season, most likely to some USL team. Edit: 2nd round pick.
Apparently he’s joined the Red Stripes.
Scouting a player.
What a gorgeous day, temps hit 70 and just a light breeze. Absolutely fabulous condition for some soccer training. Quite a few observers, coaches, and players remark on the wonderful conditions. This is my second favorite time of year, fall being my favorite. If it only it would last longer. I’m sure it will be 98 next week. Friday was media day at FCD training. I set the over under at 10 media members and I’m glad to say FCD broke it. I don’t think they hit 20, but it might have been close.
