So all this Rosenborg stuff won’t go away, neither do the stories (rumors) of other clubs beginning to circle. Could we in fact be seeing the end of Cooper’s run in a Dallas uniform, if not now then after this season? FCD will be in a world of hurting the goal scoring category if they let Cooper go.
Lovely day today, it’s not to hot this early in the morning. Schellas had the equipment guys start putting up tents for the players to site under from time to time. We media have of course stolen them for our own use when we are standing around watching in the heat. Schellas will just have to deal. Boo Yeah!
A contingency from Rosenborg is back in Dallas to watch Kenny Cooper play.
Thomas Rongen has named a 16 man U-20 squad to face Mexico on July 12 in Laredo, Texas. Brek Shea, Josh Lambo, and Anthony Wallace have all been called for the game. Also of note is 17 year old striker Felix Garcia of the PDL side Laredo Heat. He’s been called into some youth national camps before but has never garnered much attention from MLS as near as I can tell.
I was looking around for the MLS Salaries, thinking I would just look at last year’s numbers as I didn’t think the numbers for 2008 had been leaked yet… when low and behold I come across this page on the MLS Players Union site that lists all the MLS Salaries through June 5th for 2008. So here’s the FC Dallas list.
You might not be shocked to hear Carlos Ruiz is likely on the move again.
We reported just over a week ago that an unknown team had a $1 million (us) offer turned down for FC Dallas striker Kenny Cooper. We have now learned through our sources that the club in question was Rosenborg BK. Rosenborg chief scout Stig Torbjornsen was one of several scouts in town the last few weeks to watch Cooper and Brek Shea and while we spotted Torbjornsen at the Dallas game against Chicago we were unable to confirm Rosenborg’s was the bidding team until this weekend.
Like almost anyone without ESPN360, I didn’t get to watch the first half of the FCD game in Houston. Still, I have a couple comments to offer.
