No Strike
March 13th, 2010 . 10:41 am . By: Buzz CarrickWill they or won’t they? That’s the all-consuming question of the moment. Can a CBA be found that can stave off this disaster? Will it kill the league or will anyone even notice? 4 Comments Comments RSS TrackBack Identifier URI Leave a comment |

No one else cares, but US fans. Not a drop of news about it in local media or even on SC. The players are stupid to carry out a strike vote.
It seems MLS strike is more of a news item in Europe then in the states.
I understand the players want what they see is fair, and an agreement needs to be reached on a new CBA. However, this is a young league and, when compared to others around the world, still in the forming stages. A strike at this moment by the players is selfish. They aren’t popular enough, and let’s be honest, the league’s not good enough yet.
i agree…striking will only hurt the players. as an mls fan, i’d hate to see everything that has been done to get this thing going fall apart. i’d like to think that one day mls will be a bigger, better, stronger league, but this will put a huge dent in it. alot of those players aren’t making big bucks anyway, and i know they want more freedom contract-wise, but i think the only way for it to happen is for it to happen slowly, rather than suddenly.

don’t know about the other channels but I saw it on foxsports and fox 4 last night after College bball… it was quick though not a lot of detail.
