Hyndman on FIU Loss

February 24th, 2010 . 1:08 pm . By: Buzz Carrick

The gaffer speaks.

It’s always a concern. We play the game to win the game. We never play the game to lose the game. We play the game to win the game.

I left at halftime. I had urgent meetings back in Dallas, so I left at halftime and came back the next morning. The score was 0-0 when I left. So, when I heard the score was 1-0, it was surprising because we had numerous changes of scoring and we didn’t. When that happens, it just potentially catches up to you. They had a corner kick that squirted across. Sean (Kelley) was in goal and from what I understand, did a pretty good job on the knockdown ball and then, it was tapped in. We also had some open goals that we missed.

The college games are really games where we’re trying to get a lot of our trialists an opportunity. If they don’t perform well against college players, that’s a pretty strong indication.

Uh oh.  That can’t be good for some trialists.

most of the guys that played won’t even make the Waldo roster. Even if they do, they’ll hardly ever see the pitch. Not that our first team is a hell of alot better.

Perhaps they can’t be college kids cause the majority of them haven’t been much if anything but college kids, in particular SMU kids. Sooooooo…maybe you get some trialists in here who have been pros elsewhere with some resume to speak of.

Urgent meetings in Dallas? Tell us more! Tell us more! :-)

Urgent meeting consisted of bending on knee and kissing the ring of Hunt Sports Group for giving him a professional coaching job. God knows it wouldn’t have come from anyone else.

Oh Chad. You’re only happy when it rains.

It’s overcast today, and I’m smiling, so I guess you’re right.

But tell me, do you know of any other professional team that has ever even considered hiring SH during his coaching career? FCD is the only one. And all because one of the Hunt boys played at SMU for 1 year, and he really liked SH. So now we are burdened with him.
