On FCD’s home page they lead off with a picture of Shea. My first thought was, gosh he looks stronger than I remember. Then, in their article they quote SH to the affect that Shea has gotten stronger, it’s harder to knock him off the ball & SH thinks he’s ready to Brek out!

    Yeah!

Ragnar, Shea did look strong in the match, and yes…this really must be the year his substantial potential is put to the full test! Go Brek!

Part of what made him look so strong yesterday was that kid from Tulsa who was lined up against him: short, peach fuzz complexion…looked about 15 years old by comparison. LOL.

I believe that image on the fcd website was from last year. there is what looks like a dynamo player in the background.

Hoping this is gonna be Brek’s year. He certainly dominated out there against Tulsa and from the looks of it, the first goal should have been his.

Any word on the SMU match? Tuesday was the originally scheduled game but the FCD website confused matters by talking about it being Wednesday?!?! Help Buzz!!!!

Hammerhead, it says Tuesday in the article about the Tulsa scrimmage. Any idea what time?

Wow another win against a college team, we must be climbing the NCAA rankings now. This should really help us get ready for the season because I doubt Houston or LA or Seattle would be nearly this good. I hear the Dallas CC Women’s team has on open date on their preseason schedule so SH should give them a call before it’s too late!

rick – you must not follow MLS presseaon at all because almost every MLS teams are scrimmaging NCAA teams during the preseason and most have done this for many years.

Very weak rick, ditto to what teddy said.

So Rick…. do you have to practice much to be a sarky piece of crap or does it just come naturally!

“The Houston Dynamo rolled to a 4-0 win over SMU in the Dynamo’s second scrimmage of the season on Saturday morning at the Carl Lewis Track & Field Complex in an event attended by roughly 1,700 Dynamo season ticket holders. ”
“The Houston Dynamo breezed to a 6-0 scrimmage win over Houston Baptist University on Saturday morning at Robertson Stadium to kick off their 2010 preseason schedule.”
“Stephens leads LA to preseason win over UCLA”
“Thursday, February 11 – Finally, the time in Arizona was capped by a preseason training game with the Vancouver Whitecaps. What a game for Sanna Nyassi, who scored two goals in the Sounders FC’s 3-2 win.”
All College, and one USL, just fyi.

  13. Comment by HammerHead on February 16, 2010 1:00 AM

Most MLS teams are going the college and USL route for preseason due to possible future strike action…. good God, I hope not!!!

  14. Comment by English James on February 16, 2010 1:19 AM

The Dynamo got 1700 at a scrimmage? Not bad. I can’t wait for the first game of the season!
