It’s not often that my current job as an appellate attorney intersects with my past job as an MLS soccer player, but I’m happy to say that just such an intersection will occur next week when the U.S. Supreme Court will hear oral argument in American Needle, Inc. v. National Football League, et al., No. 08-661.

 A 29 year old defender, Aziz Ansah joins FC Dallas having most recently played for Heartland FC in Nigeria. As we have mentioned several times, either a right back or a central defender was a top target this winter for FC Dallas. This signing almost certainly means Ugo Ihemelu will return to right back, giving FCD coach Schellas Hyndman freedom to move Heath Pearce to another position. This will likely also change the FCD targets in the upcoming MLS SuperDraft. |
