[...] We do now know it’s not Lee Nguyen. [...]
I hope his Vietnamese is better than his English.
That’s disappointing.
Also, I don’t see a single misspelled word or glaring piece of incorrect grammar. You’re asking a lot if you want a twitter post to have punctuation…
Jorsh,
Literacy is demanding
can’t blame FO for offering lower than Lee wanted, can’t blame Lee for taking more money to stay where he’s at.
exactly right, steve. to come here and get paid 100-200K compared to almost (if not) a million would be a good reason to not sign. oh well…life goes on. it would have been nice for him to come home b/c he would definitely be getting some PT against some good competition. also, this would be a good proving ground for him ever since his 1 so-so year at PSV.
100-200k? No chance. I am willing to bet he was offered something around 50-70k, and even that maybe high. He hasn’t shown anywhere that he is a pro deserving more than that. I think Purdy was given like 40k to come back after playing in the reserves for a few yrs.
[...] After the hypothetical Lee Nguyen move fell apart this week, the question arose as to what happened. Taking what Lee mentioned on his twitter, combining it with what I know about how the league works (it’s a mystery sometimes), adding a hint here, a hint there, a comment here, a comment there… here’s what happened. [...]
There is no question Lee has made the right decision to go back to HAGL…its so out of his hands the reason he cant play in the mls…the league is soooo Jacked…I doubt it will ever be close to MLB NBA or NFL or NHL or PGA or PBA lol…His transition from the diff leagues is only going to make him stronger as a player..hes still young and you all will see how strong this young man comes on in the upcoming years…tactically and technically and most skillful player by a long shot….ive seen great players up close and personal and dempsey is one he is compared to skillfully.. stop hating and start waiting
