Good stuff Buzz. Seems like we have a couple premium picks without glaring needs/valuable senior roster spots available . . Do you think they will try to trade up to grab Bunbury if he falls out of the top 3? Any combo of Tchani, Okugo, Bunbury would be amazing!! Andre could be a decent player but his skill set isn’t what this team should spend a first rounder on. Any forwards youre crossing your fingers for?

how ’bout a mock draft, buzz. i know you said you’ll have one a day before the draft, but why not a 1st one now and another later. i’ve seen many others…but, since you seem to have a better pulse on the team, i think yours will be more thought out FCD-wise.

MOCK DRAFT! MOCK DRAFT! MOCK DRAFT!

Out of all the rankings I’ve seen theres only been 1 player from New Mexico, what happened to them? Were’nt they a force in college soccer a few years ago, they should have some players from that time as senoirs, or did they all jsut flop after that?

Eye, New Mexico has a couple solid player, but now one that is a MLS level player for sure. They’ve had a down season or two.

    hey buzz,

from looking at the combine roster on mlsdraft.net, it looks like great matchups all the way around for each team. very unfortunate the economic climate is the way it is b/c you probably would have had a field day watching talented young men play competitive soccer. anyhow, i’m sure you have contacts that have been keeping you up to date w/ players.

btw, any news on lee nguyen. spoke to my friend that knows him, and he said lee wanted to play MLS…particularly FCD since this is home.

As a New Mexico alumnus, I’ve got to chrip up here. Justin Davis is a very good prospect this year (as Buzz mentions in his piece), particularly if he drops into a left-sided wide-mid or fullback role. And there are some very talented players coming up through the UNM program now. UNM has a top class program these days that gets overlooked too often…

3, Yes. It’s been brutal the last few days not being there.

Rich, agree. But the last year or so havent been great and the senior outside of Davis aren’t top tier.
