More 2010 Jersey Images

January 7th, 2010 . 3:18 am . By: Buzz Carrick

The following images were posted on Big Soccer and look very much like they match the primary one from our insider. Giving these road jerseys and long sleeve images a highly likelihood of authenticity.

2010 Home Red Long Sleeve ?

2010 Road Blue ?

2010 Replica Red ? (including ladies cut?)

2010 Replica FCD

Edit: These images first appears as one solid sheet with color marks and copy that look very realistic to previous sheets we have seen in previous years. If you save this one sheet below you can get a larger image.FCD 2010 Onesheet

Interestingly the colors are “University Red” and “Collegiate Royal.” The fine print also has prices (suggested retail?). $110 for the authentic and $120 for the long sleeve. I am bothered by the “Formotion” font that makes me think the number may be in that type face.

    They’re not so bad. . . .

white numbers on the back of the jersey, with the solid color panel, would look nice

The blue kit here might just be a photshop, color-tweak job, though.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the road kits were white with some blue instead of the one here that’s blue with some white.

i like the LH on the back of the neck.

They aren’t mind blowing, but I think they’re an upgrade.

I like the blue although I would think it would have the same stripe on the back as the red. Now the only thing missing is a sponsor on the front of the Jersey.

Is it just me, or are they slowly fading out the hoops year by year?

  8. Comment by marco4 on January 7, 2010 11:48 AM

Odd that one would have some striping on back and other wouldn’t. Could just be due to being preliminary images, though.

But I like them – especially the blue.

I added the one sheet these images come from.

Yea….lose the stripes on the back and I think you have a winner. The more I look at these the more they grow on me. Maybe I missed it but when are these released for purchase?

Buzz, what’s the likelyhood of us landing a shirt sponsor for the season? Why is it that we’re having trouble getting one? Are we asking too much cash?

  12. Comment by KyleP on January 7, 2010 2:41 PM

Lose the stripes and add a pony. Nooooooo!

  13. Comment by The Gribbler on January 7, 2010 10:58 PM

Like that they stuck with the blue hoops. Its a good look.

overall look is ok but i prefer hoops

Do not like the 1 stripe on the back of the home jerseys – it would look better as solid red.

I just hope that we can easily tell the difference between 1 & 7 on the new jerseys.

    i like the road blue

Not surprisingly, the cut of these jerseys is the same as the new WC national team jerseys Adidas unveiled a month ago. Those come in two versions – a “players” version that is tight (almost a compression shirt), and has the powerweb support on the back and sides (which is supposed to increase endurance); and an “official” version which is a traditional cut (loose) and no powerweb. The “official” version is found in retail stores at the $60 -70 price point. The players’ version is not in retail stores. Adidas made a few “limited editions” avalailable for $120. Formation is an international trade name adidas created to refer to the cut and placement of breatheable materials, and is found on running gear and other sports’ apparel besides soccer. Shouldn’t be an indicator of the MLS number font.

I like the uniforms. For the road blue, I would also like to see matching blue shorts and blue socks. They could also have an alternate white shorts and socks if needed or if they needed to mix and match. But, I prefer the all blue as the first choice road kit.

Why cant we just have a jersey with true hoops?

Now THATS a kit with hoops!!

  21. Comment by The Man with the Plan on January 11, 2010 10:27 AM

South, there re two reasons FCD will NEVER have hoops like that.

    1. FC Dallas uses Adidas, not Nike, for all of their apparel, as does the rest of the league.

    2. FCD is trying to rid themselves of the “Hoops” moniker. I’d honestly prefer being the “Red Stripes” or simply, “The Stripes”.

Either way, south, it just won’t happen.

    Well, as for Adidas,
This may have been a better example:

And for trying to get rid of the hoops, why? It’s a unique aspect of the kit that makes FCDallas, sets us aside from the rest of the league, I love them!

    err,

better example of the matchkit I linked above,
