“Where are they now?” files
December 29th, 2009 . 1:09 pm . By: Chamo JonesAnother former Dallas Burn great has lead his team to a championship. Last week, Leonel Alvarez guided DIM (Deportivo Independiente Medellin) to the title of the Colombian league. Those who watched him play in Dallas had no doubt that he would someday become a great coach. Here are a few of the few articles I could find written in English. Independiente Medellin win fifth Colombian league title – The Times of India Around the net – Soccer America In 2009, we saw two of the franchise’s most beloved players win titles elsewhere; Jason Kreis and Leonel Alvarez. Who will be the next former Dallas player to win a title? Pareja? Rhine? Valakari? Somebody else? And will they get a chance to win it for our FC Dallas? 8 Comments Comments RSS TrackBack Identifier URI Leave a comment |

Chamo or Buzz,
With Adu cut by his 3rd or 4th European club, some, like Ives below, are speculating on his potential return to MLS.

Has Hyndman or Elinger made any indication of FCD’s interest or distaste at the idea of signing him? I really hope he lands somewhere else.
Here’s hoping the “next former Dallas player to win a title” is not Richard Mulrooney.
Not unless we have to wait 5 years for that title. FCD will let SH run the team for at least two more years and probably 4 if he wants. By then Pareja could take over the team and probably win with some of his Academy players. He seems to do well with them and several should be playing in MLS in the next five years.
Only in the global world of soccer does a Dallas website use a media outlet from India to find information about what happened in Colombia.
Goodson & Cooper are big players who will do amazing things before they are done!!!
Now that he’s been gone a while, what exactly was the story with Goodson? Seemed like a headcase from his demeaner.
Steve, I can say with some confidence this FCD staff won’t be interested in Adu I don’t think.
“with some confidence”………”I dont think”……..thats funny!
