Heath Perce Changing Positions?

December 1st, 2009 . 10:55 am . By: Buzz Carrick

Steve Hunt has a nice little bit on Heath Pearce today in which Schellas Hyndman says Pearce may be moving to midfield.

“You look at our defense. We’ve got Heath who can play left back, right back, left midfield and right midfield,” the FCD coach said. “He could also probably play defensive midfield. So he can do some things. The thing with us is who we bring in if we bring in another defender. It could be a right back. Now that would give Heath the potential to move into a flank position. Heath is a nice player because he has the versatility.”

So is the thought to move Ugo over to right back and bring in a center back? Or are they thinking of leaving him in the middle and getting a right back with a little more….culture? IE attacking skill? Ugo is fast, but his crossing leaves a lot to be desired in my opinion.

Hey this is off topic Buzz, but if you havent heard that Andrew Wiedeman from cal has been offered a contract by generation adidas, you should add his name to the GA Tracking list. ! 100 percent he is leaving to turn Pro as a GA.
