FCD Wavies Daniel Torres
November 25th, 2009 . 6:16 pm . By: Buzz CarrickFCD has parted ways with the injury prone defender. Torres wasn’t available in 18 games this season via injury according to the coaching staff. At his price that’s just not an acceptable level of availability. Torres had provided some veteran depth but his play wasn’t high enough that many observers expected him to survive the winter changes this year. This is probably the first of sevearl moves that will come this winter. Good move.
Good, we def didn’t need this guy . . Still didn’t think he was bad enough to “wavie” though
“This is probably the first of sevearl moves that will come this winter.”
How many moves do you anticipate?
I’m thinking adios to Wallace, Wagner and (of course) Richetti.
chase, anyone on your roster past this week that doesn’t make next year’s roster is a 5k cap hit. It’s to encourage teams to not horde players. So a guy that is a long shot is waived even if they invite him back.
mark, those plus Ricchetti. Maybe 1 or 2 more.
Thanks for the clarification Buzz. I personally thought we had 4 younger, better CBs than him so he seemed to be the most expendable. Now for your next task: Don’t let them get rid of Wally before Blake!!
He never played for SMU anyway.
He’s so slow that it will take him until the spring to get out of here anyway.
Get rid of him or keep him… It doesn’t matter. You still have bus boy.
