Watching Houston play soccer is like going to the dentist. They played 3 regulation length playoff games that all ended 0-0.

That's excitement! The MLS let's Houston 'thug it up' so they generally get good results with their style of play. I say call more fouls until more goals are scored.

You don't have to go home, but you can't stay here.....

Good Stuff Buzz. I agree that we are too heavily loaded with young guys. While it is nice to have a stockpile of potential first teamers, potential doesn't equal production. It would be intersting to look back over the last 5 years at the GA or P40 players and see what percentage actually made into a contributing role.

If we could bundle a few of our u20's for a solid mid 20's starter, I think that would be a good move.

Chase, Lee has never been fast, but his possession is amazing. He has wonderful touch and great instincts in traffic. Good shot too for a midfielder and he can break guys down on the dribble. I think he would be a great addition.

Problem is he's a US nat, which means allocation ranking matters in trying to sign him. FCD will be 6th or higher on the list.

Buzz,

how is Lee looking these days? I played with/against he (club/ODP) and Avi while playing in the Big West and I think it is interesting that one of them can have so much success to get a MNT call up (Lee) and Avi can hardly find PT on an average MLS team when they are very similar, dangerous players IMO

Yes Chad, it's a sham and bogus that this guy wants to win next year in the MLS, and not mold some kids for the future.

Hey Chad, read Buzz's comment again.

"Less kids under 20s and less old guys in their mid 30s."

Looks like SH doesn't want anymore ** teenagers **. You gotta have college grad-age (early-20s) guys with which to build for the future; SH knows that. He just doesn't want to pick pre-college players (i.e, high school guys) in the draft.

Anyway, that's the way I read Buzz's comment.

Chaz, Torres may have been inside. But I didn't ask. Given SH's disgust at him missing 18 games for injury combined with him being outside previously, he may be like Ricchetti and been told to pack his bags. I'll ask around.

Eye, Lee's been here for a month or more.
