Jamez, THERE’S the key difference between a good prediction and a bad one…

“tony”’s prediction was based on sheer hatred and doubt for SH and his philosophies towards players on the team, using very little to no research to back up his word.

YOUR prediction, on the other hand, state areasonable prediction with proof in the pudding, due to the fact that we have all seen McCarty’s potential up-close and personal.

He may not reach that goal you speak of, but the prediction is a good one.

BTW, I don’t wanna create enemies or anything around here. We are all FCD fans and I should remember that before posting again. And as for “tony”, sorry for the harsh words.

Who cares if predictions are wrong? They’re part of what makes sports great, bookies exist and online boards fun.

Someone should predict that this price will end up being cheap when all is said and done, and that this was a great year for Dax – but probably not even his breakout year…he will get even better.

Maybe I should predict it.

True, but at the time that original prediction was made, there were a lot of contra-indicators – most especially SH’s clear public statements that he wanted Dax back.

SH is not perfect and everything isn’t milk and honey, but some people are having a hard time seeing that some things have changed, significantly, and for the positive.

I was on the record for saying he wouldn’t be here either. Tony’s prediction would’ve been spot on had he said 5%, maybe 10%… the perfect storm of a big end of the year, SH wanting him back, and MLS throwing big money at him. At the end of the day you compare your offers, and while going to Europe is priority number one, he’s not a MNT regular and won’t command big money as a 22 year old, a big offer from MLS with guaranteed playing time are nice carrots

The Man With The Plan,
There’s been a lot of competition for worst prediction ever on the comments section during the last couple years. Off the top of my head, I remember people prognosticating that:
– FCD would regret trading away Ruiz.
– FCD wouldn’t score at all after selling Cooper.
– FCD would have the worst record in the history of MLS.
– FCD would win out to make 42 points.
– 42 points wouldn’t be enough for the 8th seed.
– Davino/Denilson would do something on the field and/or put butts in the seats

Just saying. All of us have gotten something massively wrong at some point in recent memory.
