If DAL wins, the only way we don’t go through is if we tie at 42 with the following combos:

DAL-DC-TOR-NE
DAL-DC-NE
DAL-DC

If we tie, we have to hope none else gets to 42, but we do hold the tie-breaker on a lot of the possible combos stuck at 40 pts.

I don’t buy the ‘it’s too far for the media to come’, PHP is only 25 minutes from Downtown, it’s hardly the other end of the country. Even if things don’t go our way this weekend, if we keep this team together next year will be great and FCD has a real chance of being the best performing team in the Metroplex in 2010.

By the way, where’s the best place to watch the game tomorrow? The PHP Open House or is there a pub in town that the majority of fans hit?

In the case of FCD, if they don’t make the playoffs, it is hardly a meaningless run. It is something to build on for next season. This team has come together and is looking to be a strong team next year.

Now that CHI has clinched, there are 2 simple scenarios for Dallas to go through.

Dallas wins and:
1 – DC does not win.
2 – COL and NE both fail to win.

But Buzz is correct that there are other complicated scenarios by which Dallas could still make it.

It is somewhat surprising that the media hasn’t paid more attention to this incredible FCD turnaround. Right now its the most interesting sports story in the Metroplex. I know that soccer isn’t top of mind for most people….but a good story is a good story. Rangers crashed out, Cowboys are a bit of a mess, Mavs ain’t playing…no reason not to spend some ink or screen time on the Hoops.
