Just how many times in the first half of the year did the highlight include something akin to….”and Dallas takes the lead!” How I wish we would have held at least one of those damned leads going into the final game of the season!!!
ahh…cooper’s first goal of the season. beautimous….!
Finally found a good (and huge) article for tiebreaker possibilities:
http://www.goal.com/en-us/news...ild-card-tiebreaking-scenarios
However, I’m not sure this article is accurate in head-to-head tiebreakers, as they think it is determined by overall goal diff is head-to-head points are equal, but my enterpretation is they go to head-to-head goal diff first.
Under my interpretation:
2-way ties FCD wins:
Chicago-Dallas
Colorado-FC Dallas
FC Dallas-Toronto FC
3-way ties FCD would win:
Chicago-FC Dallas-New England
FC Dallas-D.C. United-Toronto FC
FC Dallas-New England-Toronto FC
4-way ties FCD would win:
Colorado, Real Salt Lake, Dallas, Toronto (Occurs if RSL beat Colorado; Dallas and Toronto draw; and DC and NE lose.)
