#2 is local boy Hunter Freeman not stepping up and giving away the first goal. Goodson was a monster the whole game as they beat previously unbeaten league champs Rosenborg. He left right after the match to join his Nat’s teammates including roomate Kenny Cooper. I miss that guy but he doing great in his euro adventure.

Nice little 10-15k stadium. Wish we could get that kind of crowd next Saturday.

I’ve been keeping tabs on our boy all year (Although my team in the Tippeligaen has always been Odd Grenland). This win over Rosenborg is huge as RBK is the perrenial power and sits at the top of the table nearly 30 points clear of mid-table Start.

The Start fan club site rank Goodson as one of the top defenders in the league. Start clearly misses him when he is gone: his absence for the Gold cup coincided with Start’s most embarrassing loss this season: an almost comical 8-1 thrashing at Molde.

Also, that’s Tyler native Hunter Freeman wearing the #2 shirt for Start.

Funny, that’s the referee from that infamous Chelsea v. Barcelona Champions League semifinal that saw Ballack chasing him down the pitch and got Drogba and Bosingwas suspended for matches this year.

BTW, the match was at Rosenborg and was sold out at 20K. Goodson will be moving to bigger club over the winter break.
