Cunningham Goals Incentive

October 4th, 2009 . 12:00 pm . By: Buzz Carrick

Phil Stephen’s column last week had a very interesting tidbit down near the bottom…

There is an automatic contract renewal point tied to Cunningham’s goal production.  He and Hyndman know what it is…

Hum… 20? 15? Sure, 15 I find likely.  Or maybe it’s leading the league or team in goals?

Certainly at this point I think we all want Cunningham back next season.

I’m actually liking this Ferreira/Cunningham partnership. How we can get Chavez figured in there will help out too. I think this is what SH saw earlier this year when he brought in DF. He was always knowing Kenny was gone at some point in the season.

love the goals, ready for more…but still need to get the defense up and going, then we may squeak into the playoffs this season, and, if SH doesn’t do too much tooling around and getting former SMU players, we may have a hell of a season next go around.

Former SMU players like Ugo and Hernandez who have 2 straight shutouts?

FCD has yet to allow a goal in a game that Hernandez starts.

The link to Phil Stephen’s article is broken. Which story are you referring to?

According to something I heard Hitchcock say, the only unsigned key player for next year is Dax. He was reponding to a question that someone else asked specifically about Cunningham. So Cunningham will be here next year.

Yeah, Goal.com gave credit to you for the break, not Phil.

On another note – 2 places in DFW to see the Honduras qualifier, one in Irving, one in Richardson – both in Spanish. If you want to hear it in English you’ll need to drive to Austin.

Goal.com shouldn’t be giving me credit, I just linked to Phil’s article. although I did mess up the link. Here is the raw URL.

Buzz – thanks for fixing the link.

What about Blake Wagner? Is he still under contract for next year?

Who is GA? Shea, Bruno, Lambo, Leyva, Wally
What about Davies and John? Are they GA?
