September 23rd, 2009 . 3:26 pm . By: Buzz CarrickHot rumor floating around the soccer “insider” world today, the upcoming US World Cup Qualifyer against Honduras may get moved. The current situation in Honduras is apparently enough to worry soccer officials. US Soccer isn’t our beat here at 3rd Degree, and I don’t have anything official on this… But this rumor is from people far to hooked in for there not to be something to it. Perhaps a “real” reporter can pick up on this and find out what’s going on and who is pushing for the move. The game is Oct 1oth, 9 PM CT, at the Estadio Olimpico in San Pedro Sula, Honduras Edit: Oh, here you go. A “real” reporter Goff has it. 2 Comments Comments RSS TrackBack Identifier URI Leave a comment |

It will be moved for safety reasons. The top club Marathon couldn’t get a flight out to play DCU. The aurports are closed….no Nat’s game down there any time soon.
Just read this online… Seems no one will be able to broadcast the game… that sucks…
ONLY CLOSED CIRCUIT
USA-Honduras game will be shown in bars
Fans wanting to see the United States final road World Cup Qualifying game against Honduras on October 10 won’t be able to do so in their living rooms. The game will only be distributed for closed circuit viewing in bars and restaurants.
Media Pro holds right to Honduras’ home games and sold the the United States rights to Circuito Cerrado. The game was reportedly offered to ESPN and Fox Soccer Channel, but an agreement could not be reached. The company had originally planned to distribute the game only in Spanish, but there will be an English language feed as well. Broadcasters have not yet been selected. Game time is 9:00 pm ET
New Jersey based Integrated Sports Media has been hired to handle English language sales. The company hopes to have outlets carrying the game in most major markets in the United States. Establishments wanting to carry the game can call 888-388-2650 to order the feed.
