MLS QuickKicks
September 15th, 2009 . 2:19 pm . By: Buzz CarrickIn the wake of my complaint about MLS’s video sharing “problem,” I was reminded that MLS does have this cool QuickKicks feature. Although I don’t really use it myself, I think it’s a good enough product to be worth pointing out, since I dissed them on the other stuff. MLS QuickKicks let’s fans edit together their own highlights and videos using clips from the current season and most recent games. There is a segment of the population, probably a yonger one, to whom this should hold great appeal. The video you make is sharable in various forms, I beleive, and might be fun for someone looking to jazz up Facebook or MySpace. I have used it once or twice to pull an individual goal, but cutting highlights together is not something I personally want to do. I’d still rather just be able to embed the excellent packages that MLS is already producing. I’m told, FYI, that their working on that embed issue as well as the timeliness of their YouTube postings.
