Houston Wants to Be Dallas

September 15th, 2009 . 3:05 pm . By: Buzz Carrick

The Dallas of a few years ago anyway, since they just traded for Abe Thompson.  Dynamo sent Kai Kamara to the Kansas City Wizards for Thompson and some allcation money.

That now makes four ex-Dallas players on their roster.  IN addition to Thompson the Dyanmo already have Domonic Oduro, Richard Mulrooney, and Brad Davis.

    Buzz – what’s the scoop?

According to Goff, “We’re also hearing that Dallas is planning to reacquire defender Steve Purdy, whom it waived last week to make room for Heath Pearce. Perhaps other moves brewing…..”

    Does it involve trading Pearce?

That has been my suspicion since the Pearce to FCD rumors came up….

No, Pearce will not be traded.

Strange trade to me.. but then I don’t think Kamara had panned out well for them.

I don’t know about y’all, but I would take Kai Kamara on my team over Abe Thompson any day of the week. Abe cannot start a game and cannot finish chances. He is only a danger coming off the bench as fresh legs, much like Dom Oduro.

That being said, can you imagine an 80th minute double switch, with Dom and Abe coming into the game together at the last moment? Talk about offensive pressure!

    They can have Abe.
