IMO Jamie would of made a good addtion to the FC club. He could play several positions and the guys seemed to like him on and off the field.. THE only thing keeping him from being in hoops, was he was a Tarheel and not from SMU….SMU needs to chance their name to the minor league club of FC Dallas.

Dont knock the USL 1 or USL 2 teams… I love watching these guys play because their games are what soccer is all about. Their games are what it’s all about.. MLS guys don’t play together because their all stars…

Congrats Jamie, you worked hard to accomplish the MVP even though it was Div 2 – - Austin would have taken him as their first signing had SH not have screwed him and then took Sanchez over him..Wait, didn’t Sanchez shine on the injured list instead of the field.. Good luck to you in the future.. hope to see you back in MLS next season…

I totally agree with you, once a foreign player comes into the league, it seems like they can stay forever. About Jamie, I don’t think he’s found a home in MLS because he’s a spoiled baby b*tch . . I’m sure that got old very quickly

Having talk to him after the Aztex’s last home match of the season, he is very happy to be back in Austin. And when I mentioned FCD to him, he shook his head in disappointment. So you can tell that he wasn’t happy that SH released him.

Congrats to Watson. Now he has good playing time, more experience, and some MVP street cred. That should help him possibly make the move back to MLS in the future.

Keeping him I agree with, he could play anywhere and was never going to hurt you on the field.

But come on, it’s USL 2? I can see the drop off from MLS (not that MLS is cream ‘o’ crop or anything) to USL 1, I can’t imagine USL 2.
