Cunningham Wins Goal of the Week

For his goal against Real Salt Lake.
For his goal against Real Salt Lake.
I watched the US U20s against Cameroon today and I have a couple thoughts to share.
Here’s what I’m hearing behind the scenes.
Apparently FC Dallas announced their 2010 season ticket prices back in August. Through some email quirk I never got the press release. Last night I got flooded with about 20 old press releases at once in my in box, I had received almost all of them already. Except, apparently, for the season ticket one. So anyway here’s the season ticket prices for 2010.
I take issue with some of their conclusions.
Usually I would complain about the Seattle ballot box stuffing, but this week Montero’s goal is a real cracker.
Matt Visinsky is back with his excellent game photos. This set of the FC Dallas game against Jason Kreis SuperStar and Real Salt Lake. I have to say I like the ESPN logos on the kits.
Colombia has finally announced their roster for the Mexico game on Wednesday at the Cotton Bowl. FC Dallas takes on the New England Revolution at 6 pm with Mexico and Colombia putting on the night cap. FCD fans wishing for a Juan Toja sighting will be disappointed as he’s not in the squad.
Jeff Cunningham’s torrid goal-scoring streak continued Saturday night as his two goals all but ended road-sick Real Salt Lake’s playoff chances in a 3-0 FC Dallas win. In what might have been the most complete match of the season, FC Dallas went ahead in the 5th minute against the early run of play. Dax McCarty’s hustle earned a win of the ball deep in the Salt Lake end. McCarty sent a pass to the feet of David Ferreira, whose cross into Dave Van Den Berg was deflected up to a streaking Cunningham. Cunningham took the ball on the volley and slammed it past helpless Nick Rimando for the 1-0 lead.
Hey, not bad. A guy could get to like seeing a nice jersey sponsor. It should make for some fun for a couple games.
