Feel Better?

In what may be the first of several moves, Marcelo Saragosa is out, Atiba Harris in. We call that a positive first step and hope for more.

Here are some goals that he’s scored this year.
This picture of Mexico training there tells me it’s close. Damn close.
In a move that has been brewing for a couple of week and merely waited on the health of Marcelo Saragosa; FC Dallas has sent their Brazilian midfielder/defender to Chivas USA for midfielder/forward Atiba Harris. FCD has been in sore need of a wide right midfielder and Harris can perhaps solve that problem. Harris should also inject some much needed pace into the FCD side. |
I have to say there wasn’t a ton of entertainment in this game, except maybe for the scrum that resulted from McCarty trading head buts with Freddy Thompson. FCD played almost a First XI in the front rank. I’m ok with that as the team now has a week and a half off to come back fresh. Defensively we saw a few guys get on the field that sorely need some PT.
Who’s out there?
Yesterday I was fairly harsh on the decision to pass on Szetela without getting something from DC. I said, and I still think I’m right, that there had better be something we don’t know. Some consideration or some player set to come back that will make it worthwhile. So after the post Comunicaciones game press confluence with coach Hyndman, I waited till last then asked a series of questions about Szetela.
CSD Comunicaciones of Guatemala, known to their fans as Las Cremas, came into Pizza Hut Park to face FC Dallas in a pre-season tune-up friendly and losing 2-0 to the home club. FC Dallas came into the match on the heels of an ugly loss in Colorado and looking forward to a bye week, including the next four days off. It was a perfect recipe for a dull match.
Almost a laughing matter.
Unless there is something we don’t know, FCD blew this one.
