instead of doubting bradley’s assesment of kc, hopefully he will take it to heart and improve on these things. I have watched him over the yrs and tend to agree w/bb. I also think things actually worked out well for FCD and Coop. It was never in his best interest to stay in the mls. He needed to get playtime and become desirable player in order to make a move overseas, and thats what happened. win/win. btw – how many of coops goals were pks? They did help pad his totals, and give the view that he was a better pure goal scorer.

I agree with Buzz concerning Ives’ comments. I’d come down in favor of Bradley over Cooper.
In national team duty lately, Kenny has had a shoot-first, only-pass-if-you-have-to approach at times. Hopefully he’ll have some teammates he can trust in Munich and get better with combinations and other team concepts.

And Bradley wants someone of Kenny’s size to be more effective in the air, which is definitely an area he should strive to improve.

I think it is the right time for Kenny, you don’t want to wait till you’re 28-29 to move overseas. He’s got to do what’s best for him. It’s not like the front office has given him great contracts over the years. Hell, in all the years he’s been here he’s probably gotten about the same amount of money Davino got in a single season…

Perhaps it’s telling that the players keep saying it must be what’s best for Kenny AND his family. I’m not sure how that enters into it so significantly for a single 24 year-old.

Ives means that Cooper has had trouble adapting his game to the role Bob Bradley wants.

One could say that Bradley has trouble adapting his team design to fit what Cooper brings to the table.

Which you prefer depends on who you like better.

Hyndman is talking about Cooper being a wonderful guy, hard worker, leader by example, and a terrific team mate.

Totally different things.

i have a somewhat unrelated question about cooper..

how come he is repeatedly praised as being a team player by hynman? if you read comments from people like Ives Galarcep, you get the idea that the reason cooper does not get much time with the national team, is because he doesn’t fit into the “team concept.

what’s to be believed?

So… Hyndman wasn’t in the loop there at the end, and/or the decision was reversed rather suddenly.

Based on Buzz’s excellent (as always) coverage, it seems to be the latter, but I wouldn’t entirely discount the former without more info.
