How much do you think FCD would go for on the market these days? A profitable club (despite lagging attendance) in a league which is "hot".

Well, who are we going to waste all this money from the Cooper deal on now?

We need a soccer person to make decisions, not a college coach and not a general manager. When will FCD get someone that knows soccer.....?

Can they just sell this team?

Stevetoro,
If you love someone, you have to let them go.

Glad that MLS/FCD seem to have positioned this well and 1860 must have improved their transfer fee. Looking forward to numbers on the transfer fee.

For those that don't know much about 1860:

They seem to be the Clippers to Bayern Munich's Lakers. Play in the same stadium and everything.

Interesting.. perhaps either Munich upped their offer and it became too good to refuse or FCD secured a means to utilize the transfer monies to pony up a worthy replacment.. but I'd bet my money on the former rather than the latter.

I feel like all 3000 FCD season ticket holders screamed out simultaneously in pain -- and then were silenced.

In addition to German papers, the FC Dallas front office has now confirmed it via email to season ticket holders. 1860 Munich, indeed! Tcuss Kenny!

Nathan, a lot can happen in two days. Obviously the sources that gave me this info accomplished what they intended. The last offers as of two days ago were rejected. Draw from that what you will.

Hutch, I don't know.

http://www.soccer365.com/us_news/story_31709130018.php

"We have an agreement in place for Kenny to join 1860 Munich," (Cooper's agent) Lyle Yorks confirmed to Soccer365. "We look to complete the deal early next week."

This article is the only one I can find, and it makes no implication that FCD or MLS are going to approve the offer. Buzz is reporting that this offer was received and rejected, and Goff made a similar offer rejected report on 7/17. No contradiction yet...
