Cooper Named to All-Gold Cup Team

Dos Santos Named tourney MVP.

CONCACAF has announced the All-Gold Cup Team and FCD’s Kenny Cooper was named to the squad along with three other American.  Houston Dynamo’s Stuar Holden, Columbus’ Chad Marshall, and Ex-FCD’er Clarence Goodson were also named to the team.

    Kind of odd since he really didn’t play much. Looks like CONCACAF likes him more than Bradley.

    this is really odd. you would think you have to play at leaste half of your teams games and minutes to make this team. but I guess it is just one more reason the Gold Cup was a second rate tournament this year.

    Soccer 365 is reporting that Coop will be sold to German side 1860 next week with qoutes from his agent Lyle Yorks.

    no it would have been second rate even if the US won. It was good to get the younger guys some playing time. It was just that almost no one brought their top team and so you only get a small hint of what these guys could do, instead of like the the tournament in South America in 2007 where we were playing first teams with a younger squad.
