Your right about one thing - the Daily Mail has no credibility. However, it certainly is more credible than the New York Times.

The more interesting aspect to all of this is what FCD can do with the allocation they will get as a portion of the transfer fee. Assuming the transfer is over $2 million, FCD should get a sizeable transfer as Kenny didn't cost much to acquire. So then we are sitting with the top ranking allocation AND another major pot of money AND a few other buckets of cash. There would be ZERO excuse to not get something significant done in the summer.

Tex,
Seems like an accurate assessment of the situation. I really hope something clicks for him and he takes off in Europe, but the good/steady career trajectory seems more likely.

Steve,
I like Cooper, too. But I think we've seen what he's capable of and I don't think he's going to develop his game anymore than he has. What he seems to be is a capable forward who tries way too hard to be a star forward but doesn't have the talent to pull it off. I think if he gets put into the right system and is treated the right way he can be a competent lower level European player with a long career. I think if he gets put into the wrong system he'll be back in MLS within 2 years.

Any real team/league in the world would sell KC with only 1 1/2 years left on his contract and no chance of resigning him. BUT this is MLS (minor league soccer) so they will likely just let him play it out and walk away on a free. These are not real football people making decisions for the league.

I care where he goes for Cooper's sake, cause I like the guy, and he might block if FCD lines up a club in outer Mongolia.
He should be qualified for a spot and fit in will in the 2nd division in England, Germany or Italy, maybe first div in France.
