FCD Juniors Finish 2nd and SUM Cup
July 9th, 2009 . 1:47 pm . By: Buzz CarrickIn their first ever SUM U17 tournament, the FCD Juniors advanced to the final and lost to DC United 5-4 on PKs after finishing 1-1 in regulation. One can’t help but wonder if the outcome might have been different had FCD not been without their leading goal scorer Ruben Luna who received a red card in the previous game. On the plus side, finishing second qualifies FCD Juniors for the 2010 Dallas Cup Super Group. This will be the first FCD Juniors team in the Super Group. FC Dallas Youth has previous won the U19 Open Division. 2 Comments Comments RSS TrackBack Identifier URI Leave a comment |

Have you ever seen the Juniors play? If so, how would you compare them to other local clubs (Texans, Solar and Andromeda)? This is a step in the right direction.
I have watched the Juniors play many times, and have seen them in games versus other local clubs.
The Juniors finished top of their group in the Development Academy this year with a record of (11-0-3) in their division. (never lost to the other teams in DA Group competition)
In all competitions (18-3-7) overall.
The 3 losses were to the U-16 teams of Indiana United Academy, LAFC Chelsea , and the Colorado Rapids.
