Lambo Drafted?

July 7th, 2009 . 1:01 pm . By: Buzz Carrick

Apparently by some team in Malaysia. A team called Negeri Sembilan FC seems to have drafted Lambo with their 7th round pick.

Edit: It appears it’s a fantasy league thing of some kind.

There is even a quote on one of those sites.  ”The club has a solid foundation. It has a good balance of youth and experience,” said Lambo.

For all I can tell at this time this could be a joke or bit.  Teams do draft people sometimes just on a lark or chance they can get such a player.

According to FCD sources, Lambo is still under contract with FC Dallas and they have not been contacted about the players services or rights.

This is for a computer game, Team Manager. I’ve played in a league like this before for baseball where you manage a real team but use simulations. So its not a joke, but a fantasy league type of thing.

    Joe, Dont be a punk.

I play HatTrick (Its a hell of a way to pass dead time at work).

Its entirely possible to play fantasy games and still get outside and have dates.

(I play ultimate frisbee or soccer outside at least four times a week and I am getting married in two months)

Its not like fantasy games are like World of Warcraft or something where it has to consume your entire life.

No one’s going to Malaysia any time soon. Their league banned all foreign players at the end of last season. The USL was a big beneficiary with a bunch of players moving from Malaysia.
