Sir Alex Is Smarter Than You

July 4th, 2009 . 4:22 pm . By: DJ Walker

Sorry I’ve been away, kids. I’ll try to start writing some Streamage again, now that things (seem) to getting back to normal in my clearly abnormal life.

But, for the moment, let me say one thing about International Soccer, while it’s on my mind, concerning the signing of Michael Owen by Sir Alex Ferguson.

If you are thinking of criticizing or making fun of Sir Alex for making this move, I want to state one thing. I want you to listen to me very closely, and take my words to heart.

Ready?

Okay.

Sir Alex is smarter than you. Don’t feel bad, I don’t mean it as an insult – he’s smarter than just about everyone. Because he is smarter than all of us (about football naturally, not, you know, everything. I mean, even I know more about, say, bankruptcy law than SAF, but that’s beside the point. When it comes to the game we all love, He is Aristotle, we are Carrot Top, okay?)

Therefore, this is a good signing, and Michael Owen will score at a ratio of at least one goal for ever two games this year. It’s a foregone conclusion, so don’t make yourself look silly by ridiculing things about which you do not know enough to ridicule.

Think of this as a public service announcement.

Okay, that’s all.

It might be a good transfer considering the financial part, but we will see if it good from the sporting prospective.

This FCD blog was on the verge of blowing up at this signing… that is until your entry!

    I kid, welcome back!

Michael Owen is dead to me. SAF is without doubt smarter than…but he is also the enemy.

    Up Liverpool!
