It is a little scary to think that Schellas will not work out like his peers from the college ranks who have won MLS Cups. How could Dallas end up with the one college coach among the top coaches, and pick the one who cannot win MLS Cup?

That said, there is no point in firing him for two more years. Enduring two years of what I see on the field will be hell, but it may be necessayr.

Unless you are going to hire back Dave Dir, in which case fire Schellas tomorrow.

Come on guys….you have to put this season in perspective. The first half was really a bad stumble out of the gate immediately followed by several critical players getting injured. If one of these things doesn’t happen then we’re in the middle of the pack.

Isn’t Marcelo Saragosa being injured and unable to play (read:get sent off) something that should be listed on the Bright Side?

Maybe we can gather a pool for one of the rookies to kick him in the ankle again in practice. You think Dello or Peri would be interested in making a little extra cash?

What I am curious about is the reputation of FC Dallas around the league. If the reputation is a mickey mouse club with a mickey mouse coach and team that will not spend money, if players want to come here.

Think about it. It is nine months until the next season. FCD might spend the second half developing players for next year, but that is a long way away. And as quickly as things change in the football world, all of this 2009 prep work may be for nought come April 2010.

That having been said, I hope FCD’s second half of the season is spent developing two things. First, creating the style of play that SH wants for this team. That will give it an identity. Second, creating an enviroment of winning. I want them to play good football, but I also want them to score at least one more goal than the other team. MLS allows mediocrity. Each team must fight that to create a winning environment. Dallas does not have it and needs to find it in the second half.

i question Dario beng smarter, look at the play against Chivas and against Chicago he did not set up the wall correclt on Blanco’s goal. He cost us at least one game this year. Ray may be young but he has saved us in a couple of games with his shot blocking ability. I say stick with Ray and the team will gain confidence in him.

While you hate to fire the coach and start over all the time is Hyndman really the guy to win titles? He could change and be that guy but his biggest problem is he plays favorites way too much and I really don’t see that changing. Prove me wrong coach.
