Cowboy

I was looking for info on 3rd Degree favorite Jay Needham and came across this promotional poster that is an instant classic.

Needham Poster (copyright Alta IF)

According to my translator the text says “The world’s kindest cowboy.  Ready for a duel.”

I mention it for two reasons.  One, it’s funny and classic.

And two, Alta apparently does a promotional poster for each home game.  Which is an interesting idea FCD could steal.

By the way, Needham is Alta’s captain this season and I still think he’s good enough for MLS.

    That is greatness!

If FCD does copy this approach, they should run them in both Spanish and English. Might even be able to sell some leftovers at the game to recoup cost.

It may have already been tried and failed but how about renting the small boards on Dallas taxis on the week of home games. A picture of different players on each, some kind of soccer picture in the background (or maybe just a picture of the player in action), the game date and opponent, FC Dallas, the phone number and website.

    85,

Come one dude, have you been to a game? They have even stopped filling the promotional plaques in the pisser, what make you think they’re going to fill something outside of PHP.

I jest, gut it’s the truth.
