FCD News Recap

April 27th, 2009 . 7:30 am . By: Chamo Jones

I apologize for the lack of News Recaps this weekend. It was my birthday and I spent it off the grid camping at Lake Ray Roberts. It looks like I didn’t miss much FC Dallas’ wise. Another match another loss. They keep falling deeper and deeper into the well.

John Alper will be selling corporate sponsorships for the Super Bowl. John was the primary person responsible for every major sponsorship sold at the home of the FC Dallas: Pizza Hut, Verizon, Chevy. You see it at the stadium, it was John’s deal. Since he left, not a single major sponsorship deal has been signed. All apologies to Yellow Tail.

One massive mistake cost us both goals. The sad part is that most people didn’t see that for the first 20 minutes of the game we dominated.

Imagine for a second if last week’s referee would have officiated this week’s game…if he would have been there on Saturday, I think Chivas USA would have brought brass knuckles onto the pitch. Hell, they probably could have done it with Okulaja, who was very easy on that group of thugs.

Buzz, I know you’ve got a real job (all the more reason this site is a-fricking-mazing) and this is more a USMNT thing, but if the chance were to come up to go overseas for free to cover the Toros Tejanos, I hope you’d take it; just make sure you wait to get home before you publish the really good stuff.
