But a very good chance you will get Mexico. So it should make for some fun and festive atmosphere. Here’s the official dirt. 2009 CONCACAF GOLD CUP TICKETS TO GO ON SALE FRIDAYNEW YORK (Thursday, April 16, 2009) – Tickets for the 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup go on sale to the general public Friday, April 17 at 10 a.m. CT, making available seats for the Sunday, July 19 quarterfinal doubleheader at the Dallas Cowboys New Stadium. FC Dallas fans have the opportunity to purchase a special two-game package featuring one of two FC Dallas games (July 4 vs. New York Red Bulls or Aug. 1 vs. Kansas City Wizards) and the July 19 Gold Cup doubleheader. FC Dallas Package (includes one FCD game and the July 19 Gold Cup doubleheader): Midfield Pack – $50 (savings of $30) Endline Pack – $30 (savings of $15) Tickets for the doubleheader are available at www.goldcup.org. The United States is the two-time defending champion, after defeating archrival Mexico in a memorable, sold-out 2-1 final in Chicago’s Soldier Field in 2007. The Gold Cup, which has seen record attendances and television ratings in each of the past two competitions (2005 & 2007) will feature CONCACAF’s 12 best national teams for the region’s biennial title, beginning July 3 in Los Angeles and finishing with the championship match at Giants Stadium on July 26.
