A Few Random Thoughts

By: DJ WalkerBased on a very cursory and distracted viewing of the FCD-CAP game the other day, I am almost giddy at the prospect of watching Jeff, Dax, Dave, and Coop light up defenses this year. I hate to see Adrian go, because he was such a gamer, in the Simo Valakari mold. We need that hard presence on the field, and I wonder who is going to provide it this year. I once again call upon all footballers to abandon the practice of wearing white boots. Like artificial turf, low-fat ranch dressing, the designated hitter rule, and comb-overs, it just ain’t right. If FIFA gets away with imposing the 6+5 rule, Arsenal and Chelsea and Liverpool will have to merge just to field a full side. Thanks to everyone who sent along prayers and good wishes for Cid during her recent hospitalization. She and I both really appreciate it. She’s doing better, and will not be required to have bypass surgery. if everybody on a team wore white shoes and white wristbands that would be quite a look. Name them “The Moore, Oklahoma Blur”
if they ran fast. if they didn’t run fast, call them “The Moore, Oklahoma embarassing slow dudes wearing white shoes and wristbands like Will Farrell wannabees” that has a nice ring to it!

I had to get back on to wonder why DJ you didn’t list Miracle Whip in there with artificial turf and comb-overs?
but also as well don’t each guy on a team be free-lancing with the shoe colors: there ain’t no “ruby-red” in “T – E – A – M”
