Of the four trialists, I found some info on two of them, I think.

Alvaro Sanchez (Costa Rican/Mid/San Carlos)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Álvaro_Sánchez

Gaspar Paez (Argentine/Forward/???)
2007 he played in the Mexican 2nd division w/ Correcaminos.

Nothing came up for the other two.

The whole Emmerson thing is a continuing joke and there is no-chance any of the players wants to be the one who breaks the little guy in two. Lorenzo de Medici covered this disaster in a column last year and apparently nothing has changed.

I absolutley agree with Ricahrd. It would be one thing if this were the "FC Dallas Employee Family Day Picnic". But come on... this is the pros. Do you see Wade Phillips bringing in his grandkids to participate in practice or Ron Washington bringing in one of his children to throw batting practice? I know that's a bit of a stretch from an analogy standpoint but you get the idea. I just wish Hitchcock or one of the Hunts would man-up and tell SH enough already.

Former player's perspecitve on people participating in training: You play the way to train. Period. You cannot and should not hold back in training. When someone not on our roster joined our training in a contact drill, I played all-out against that person, who in my mind was saying, by his participation in the drill, "unless you show the me otherwise, I am looking to take your job or the job of one of your teammates."

Count me one of the clowns then.
It's not ideal, for sure, and agree that it's "amateur as hell". But the kid can play - so it's ok with me.
