February 14th, 2009 . 8:01 am . By: Buzz CarrickNot that this comes as a shock, but the USA-Brazil challenge against Clube Atletico Paranaense is returning for its third edition. The first leg will be down in Curtiba, Brazil on March 4th. Although there are not details yet, I would image that game might be streamed on line. The more important leg for FCD fans in Dallas is the one which you can attend at Pizza Hut Park on March 14th at 7:30 PM. Here’s the FCD press release. In these match-ups, does Paranaense typically play its first-teamers?
it’s usually a mix of first teamers, role players, and some younger players CAP wants to showcase.
I dont remember seeing a first-teamers here in Dallas, maybe down in Brazil they played…. I only remember seeing Rink however he was pretty much done with PR by that time
True they don’t being a lot of starters to Dallas. But you might see some down there. It depends on their schedule of course. In their case first teamers is more than 11 players anyway.
Buzz is correct. I don’t know if this year I can come to Curitiba, but next year I’m sure I’ll.
And remember, CAP First Team were 2º place in 2009 São Paulo Youth Soccer Cup (most important tournament U18 in Brazil).
