2009 Preliminary MLS SuperDraft Forward Rankings

As I said when we kicked this thing off with the goalkeepers, this is the year of the forward. This is as good a group of senior strikers as I can recall and when the projected Generation adidas players are included it goes off the charts. The forward spot is not often a deep one and while the talent eventually drops off there is more depth than usual.

I’ve been poking around You Tube looking for videos on players I have been tracking and I found this little gem of a video on Alex Elliott of Portland from last year. Unfortunately for MLS, Ellitt signed with Germany’s Sportfreunde Siegen which is in the Regionalliga Sued, Germany’s third division.

So the Holidays are over and it’s time to get back to business. First order on the table is InterLiga Friday and Tuesday at Pizza Hut Park. Tuesday will have the better atmosphere with Chivas and Club American playing, but Friday featured the best team in North American, Pachuca.
