Hyndman: FCD Made Offer on a #10

January 28th, 2009 . 12:05 am . By: Buzz Carrick

FCD head coach Schellas Hyndman says the team is “close” to signing a attacking midfielder.

“We’ve talked to a club and we’ve made an official offer, which is part of the process.” Hyndman said at training.  “They’re evaluating it, if it’s something they accept, it could get done this week.”

One can likely presume, based on how MLS works, that FCD knows how much they player will want to get paid, and may perhaps have an unofficial verbal agreement in place.

FCD has become like the CIA. Players materialize with no warning, defensive liabilities get taken care of, disinformation is posted on strange fake websites, squads go off on secret missions to South American locales. No leaks (other than what Buzz can suss out) — those guys at MLS rumo(u)rs have to be annoyed…

[...] + FC Dallas midfielder Dax McCarty should be reporting to training camp soon after the club was unsuccessful attempting to trade him. SH said probably South American… if that tells us anything.

If they are talking to a club though, that would typically mean a transfer fee, which FCD have been unwilling to do in the past. So, if they are talking to a club, could it mean that FCD are looking with MLS still?

Buzz could it be from River? Sambueza was just released from Flamengo(today) and is going back to river, however he is not wanted there and he is a #10

Phil, not River or CAP. SH says so in the Q&A.

3nOut. Bit young for sure, just not 34 (Gomez). No way it’s little rickey.

Jason B, the player SH referes to here, is not inside the league. I know cause SH was asked that question.
