McCarty Trade?
January 22nd, 2009 . 1:20 pm . By: Buzz CarrickIf you’re an internet junkie like me you may have seen by now that at 10 AM CT, SBI said FC Dallas is about to deal Dax McCarty to San Jose. Ives says it might be for a conditional pick. At some point following that Yallop, speaking to Jeff Carlisle, denies he’s even talking to Dallas about McCarty. Here’s what I know… At roughly noon today I talked to FCD Head Coach Schellas Hyndman about McCarty and the lack of interest in him. We even discussed how McCarty might work his way back into FCD good graces. At training this morning, I also had conversations with several other FCD staffers about what the process might be if nothing were to happen with McCarty as it appears is likely. Point being that I would find it highly doubtful they would trade McCarty without at least telling Hyndman, and more likely wihtout him having the final approval. So could this deal go down? If Dax goes to the Quakes, I’m getting a Quakes McCarty Jersey. In fact, I’m gonna start collecting the kits of every talented player this team decided to just let go b/c Hyndman didn’t like ‘em.

Last year my little soccer click debated who’s jersey we each wanted. Everybody wanted Dax’s. And now they’re trading him for a conditional draft pick.
I understand building a team you can get behind, but I don’t know how a low-cost, young, fan-favorite can’t make that lineup. It’s disappointing. I realize Dax hasn’t helped things, but this is disappointing
