I dunno, skipping MLS and heading abroad appears to have worked out just fine for Charlie Davies, while it’s hard not to notice that Kenny Cooper has been left a bit frustrated since coming back to MLS.

I wouldn’t be surprised if both Tracy and Grella are drafted by New England in the 3rd/4th round.

They have so many picks (7), and don’t have the roster space to take more than 2-3 guys.

These young kids going to Europe are all destined to come back here when they don’t get the playing time. While it’s obviously less lucrative, and requires more work, starting off in MLS and THEN transfering offers a much higher rate of success, IMO. I understand the desire to avoid the pitfalls of MLS, but I don’t think they are looking at the much bigger pitfalls of Europe.
