And so it beings. Another season of the joy that is major professional soccer in the united states. Today is the kick off scrimmage for the 2009 version of FC Dallas. The action takes place in the main stadium at Pizza Hut Park. It’s an opportunity to see some of the new faces, do some evaluating, and for season ticket holders to pick out their seats. It’s also a chance for me to drive the Jeep for the first time this year cause it’s beautiful out.

Bucknor is a tall and speedy striker who played some JuCo ball before transferring to Tampa where he was ineligible last year. While not a spring chicken anymore, Torres is still heavily involved with his national team and has great experience in MLS and in other pro leagues. Not notably fast, Torres does have relatively nice touch and is a solid passer.

Once again I wasn’t able to get to the questions with Hyndman early enough in the day to get it into the practice report. So here it is a day late. Again the coach speak thing is a bit, so don’t take any meaning from it.
