Rowland and Wadsworth Out
December 2nd, 2008 . By: Buzz CarrickFCD finally got around to notifying everyone about the players they waives, Jeff Rowland and Spencer Wadsworth. With Rowland’s knee injury and Wadsworth’s limited amount of playing time the moves come as no surprise. The only real surprise is that with the end of the reserve league and reduction in rosters there weren’t more waivers of player like Jamie Watson, Andrew Daniels, and Chase Wileman. 9 Comments Comments RSS TrackBack Identifier URI Leave a comment |

Would FCD have enough leverage to sell some of these lower-tier players to a USL side?
Alternatively, could they create their own independent USL side or create a partnership that would serve as reserves?
why would they waive those players you mentioned when they dont have to?
I would really like to see FCD with a USL1 side.
Scotty, because any player on your roster after this waiver that doesn’t make your spring roster is a $5000 cap penalty.
Look at the roster dance, you will see FCD currently sits at 20 senior roster players before they make a single draft pick. Assume that their 2 firsts are a lock to make it, that’s two cuts and a $10k penalty… assume the two 2nds make it, that’s another $10k penalty… and so on…
It’s more likely you will see FCD with a PDL team than anything else.
The waiver news worries me because it could mean that SH and JE plan to keep Watson, Daniels, and Wileman for next year and trade some players that most of us don’t want to see moved, e.g. Dax, Oduro.
Who wants to see Oduro stay. He’s not a good enough value to take up an international slot IMO.
word on the street is that daniels was not asked to come back….Could they have been waived for the waiver draft?
Dax is not coming back..it’s almost a given because Coach doesn’t want him and he doesn’t want Coach.. He’s actually return to home in Florida.
