New Shea Injury

December 5th, 2008 . 10:23 am . By: Buzz Carrick

Missed in all the Davino hubbub yesterday was a tidbit on the FCD blog about Brek Shea re-injuring his knee and undergoing additional surgery.  Apparently he felt a pop in his knee during rehab and recovery work from this previous meniscus procedure.  Now he’ll have to undergo another procedure.  Two ops on the same knee in the same winter is not a good thing for such a young player.

Depending on how the procedure goes, Shea will be in danger of missing the first part of the 2009 season, if not longer.
