McCullers to FCD? No.
December 2nd, 2008 . 9:09 am . By: Buzz CarrickSteve Goff has a rumor that I heard about two weeks ago, that Crew GM Mark McCullers is going to move from Columbus and take over FC Dallas. Goff says Hitch would stay on to run Pizza Hut Park. Only now Goff says it’s moved from just the rumor stage. My version of the rumor actually had Hitch going the other way and joining Columbus to help develop concerts and other events for their new stage. When the rumor first crossed my desk I did some asking around and got words “you’re crazy,” ridiculous,” and “wow, really?” Even a giggle or two. Maybe I Should start posting these rumors. That way when one of them hits I’ll look like a genius. *sigh* Needless to say I’ve been doing some more asking today and so far I’m getting the same kind of reaction as before. Edit: I’m starting to hear a few things that make me think something might be afoot. Is it McCullers? To early to tell. Edit 2: Continueing to get conflicting info from various place. There is some vibe on this but also some stern No’s. if we get a real GM in the organization, we might even be a .500 team. it will bring me peace to know hitch isn’t associated w/ any player movements.
will SH be ok w/ this? seems like he wanted some power which may have been a reason for him signing w/ FCD.
