* Clinched Playoff Berth OUT
Note: Traditionalists may be confused. FC Dallas currently is OUT of the playoffs despite having the same number of points and better goal differential than Colorado because Colorado won the season series against FC Dallas and that is the first tie-breaker in MLS. 6 Comments Comments RSS TrackBack Identifier URI Leave a comment |

New England has cliched as well, because KC failed to win on Sunday.
I think the schedule is in our favor. We still play Salt Lake, and Salt Lake plays NY this week. So if we win this week we will be in the playoff picture no matter the result in the NY game.. And even if we lose 1 of the next 2 games. We still have a chance since Rapids host RSL the last week.
Did anyone notice? There are only 2 teams in the West who have a positive goal differential and yet, we still are on the outside looking in?
Interesting… I referenced the MLS site to get the figures, and they did not indicate that New England had clinched.
I think NE has not clinched because there are only 3 spots locked into each conference and the 2 best point totals left get in the playoffs.
Step,
there have been several articles published this week pointing out that New England has indeed qualified.
