I couldn't agree with your Thought Of The Day any more. As soon as I save Davino in the lineup I called the game a loss...close enough

Steve: The Hunts already turned down "an acceptable offer" for Cooper unless you think $3m for a guy who cost nothing "unacceptable" and if you do you're probably Dan Hunt incognito.

Great work as always Buzz. I don't understand what his grandson is doing with the team? Doesn't he go to school? He's too young to play anyway. Maybe him and Guarda should go practice on one of the other fields. I agree Pitch should be playing. We are paying a lot of money for an old, slow guy that can't earn his keep. Put Pitch in!!

Hope all those who are ill feel better quickly. ;-)

I think the thought of the day of the day is off base. FCD didn't "loose" that game because of Davino. They lost that game because the midfield could not generate anything on the offensive side of the ball, and the team as a whole resorted to the route 1 long ball way too often. The only real scoring chances FCD generated were from dead ball situations. Hyndman deserves the blame for sticking with the 2/3 of the Brazilian midfield when they clearly were ineffective.

And while Buzz points to the combined score of 7-1 of the previous two matches, I have to point out that in both of those matches the defense was much more leaky than they were against San Jose. Both Chicago and DC had more clear scoring chances in those matches than San Jose did, and the results would have been much different had Sala not stood on his head.

Does Pitch deserve to start over Davino? That is a tough call. I can see both sides. But that decision by Hyndman did not cost FCD the game. It was the other personnel decisions that Hyndman made that he should be blamed for.

No, FCD is realistic to offer 400k. If they offered more, there would be zero chance of signing someone of Ze Roberto-Blanco-Angel level. Kenny deserves to move on, and FCD should be mainly focused on keeping him happy until they can get an acceptable price for him.

"We’re doing everything we possibly can." I call b.s. on that one because you haven't made an offer that Cooper knows he is worth. FCD must really be stupid to think that Cooper will sign a contract where he can make only $400K maximum including all bonuses after he was offered one worth over $1million just a few months ago.
