Yikes, we are really missing our old coach now because apparently he could actually coach.
SH could get it done with talent at SMU and now he’s trying to do it w/o talent and we completely suck. Next year we will likely revisited the 2003 days of sucklake on this current course.

Funny thing, our team HAS talent. Its a matter of getting everyone on the same page and playing the right players. Bruno is not one of those players.

Scott Jones and Sandi Gbandi rarely, if ever, got to see the field in hoops.

FCD is in the lower third of the league in talent. 12-24 months ago that were in the top 3-4….we DO NOT have talent now.

I say Colin Clarke MINUS Steve Morrow is a good thing. Clarke got a bad rap because Morrow blamed everything on him, and said all of the boneheaded decisions were made by Clarke, and anything good that was done was made by Morrow. The same thing Morrow pulled with Hitch. At least Hitch was smarter than Clarke because Hitch cut off Morrow before Morrow could get Hitch canned.

I think a lot of people at FCD would be all for a Colin Clarke return without negative Steve Morrow.

Well Pete that is your opinion. My opinion is that this team has a lot of talent, and that the style of play has changed in a way that does not suit the talent as well as the way they were playing, and that is complicated by the addition of multiple new players in the starting lineup. There is a learning curve involved in adding new players, and in changing the style/system of play, and in playing a different position. That is three learning curves placed one on top of the other - leading to a _very_ steep learning curve.

don’t forget to mention former FCD-er, er.. I mean Burner, Matt Jordan playing for Montreal in the Champions League as well.

I certainly find it interesting that not only have the MLS sides been losing so far, but they’ve been losing BIGTIME, and then PR Islanders and Montreal are winning their games. I’ve actually been glad FCD wasn’t in the Champions League this year because I’m sure they would have been embarrassed.

TALENT???!!! This team HAD talent! Now it has too many developing players. Were do not have talent. Tell you what - let the guys we have go and see where they end up…no place. Alvarez, Ronnie O’, Abe, soon Kenny…all get starting spots somewhere else. Now we will have nothing but SMU rejects.

PS i thought Colin got a bad rap when he was here and i thought we would miss him.

I miss him.

He never could lead us out of the first round, and if that is your goal, so be it, but it was time for a change.
