Just thinking out loud here, what about putting Saragosa and Guarda on the bench, and winning a couple of games?

This is bizarro FCD.

When are we gonna see Emo on the attack. I assume that a 12 year old practicing with the team means he is a player...

"repead ad nausea" - pun intended?

I don't know on the Schellas/accountability thing. Seems like Kinnear and some other coaches have found a way to instill that mentality and maybe that is what it takes - pushing the players and finding out who can respond and moving on the ones who don't.

It isn't as if you can try to play at a higher level and have LESS accountability, so I hope to see players like Dax, Drew and Kenny rise to the occasion, and hopefully the younger US players (Avi, Wally, Brek, Josh, etc.) follow suit.

Adam, no one has ever seen Saragosa at center back.

Steve, good question. One thing Schellas is preaching is accountability. I suppose by calling guys out he's trying to get them to step up and take responsibility. But you're right there is a point at which it will piss players off. It's one thing to call a guy out in the internal team, it's another to do it in the media. I too wonder if it's going to cost him. Although as Schellas says, "I'm not here to be their friend."

FCFan, agree Guarda isn't good enough yet. But to his credit he is improving. I just hope it doesn't cost the season, which the COL game may have done.

Ferd, I explained it previously. It's a series of staggered cones about 50 yards long. One player at each cone. Rest of team runs from cone to cone doing a pass/volley/header, then sprints back to the start at of the line. repeat ad nausea.

I talked with Coops Dad today on this special day for America. I asked him being an immigrant himself, what his feelings were today. He told me we live in the greatest country in this World. We can rise above anything and everything this World can throw at us. He then told me I am proud to be from England, proud to live in America. We are great allies which makes us twice as strong as any other nation. He also told me he lost a dear friend in the plane which crashed into the Pentagon.

Man I remember 9/11 ... The team was training at UT-Dallas and I broke the news to the guys about the first explosion at the World Trade Center... At that time there were no tv's around in the locker room area so we all went to the fitness area and arrived shortly after the second plane hit... I remember the shock and sadness among the players that day... There were no words to describe how the guys were feeling that morning and Coach Jefferies called the practice off and had a heartful talk that I will never forget... I still remember tears coming from a number of players... Please pause this day and remember the victims and families of 9/11
