Sikora Out 4 to 6 Weeks
August 25th, 2008 . 7:29 pm . By: Buzz CarrickFC Dallas today announced that brand new left midfield signing Victor Sikora will miss 4 to 6 weeks with a torn lateral meniscus in his right knee. The injury was discovered in Monday’s MRI and he’s scheduled for surgery on Wednesday morning. In a seeing the bright side of things kind of way the meniscus tear is good news as a torn ACL or MCL would have kept the midfielder out much longer. A meniscus is in a sense a clean up kind of procedure that Sikora could recover form fast enough to play again this year. Although it will be a tight recovery to get him healthy in time to have much of an impact. 6 Comments Comments RSS TrackBack Identifier URI Leave a comment |

This totally sucks. I actually thought this guy was going to make a significant contribution to the team. Back to the drawing board for the left wing.
Best case: Dax and Avila on the field together.
Worst case: More of Guarda and Saragosa.
Which do you think is more likely?
Get well soon, Victor.
Dello-Russo probably figures in the rotation as well.
You’d like to think that, wouldn’t you? And, sure, he’ll probably end up a late game sub given the numbers.
But what do you think we’re gonna see more of – assuming Saragosa is healthy? My money is on Saragosa and Guarda.
buzz,
do you have any plans for an interview with Sikora? I think i’ve seen one article with a just a few quotes since he’s joined the team.
Not all that much point in interviewing him now. But I will if I get a chance.
